Do you love getting your friends and family together for a cookout? When you plan a get-together, you want everyone to have a great time and not have anything to worry about. Here are some ways you can have a great BBQ.
Marinate the Meat Ahead of Time
When you’re planning a BBQ, it’ll be best to start preparing a few days ahead of time. No backyard BBQ is complete without meat, so make sure you marinate any cuts of meat ahead of time. Whether you’re using Chapo Daves Fire Escape Marinade or something else, you always want to give the meat at least 12 hours to soak in the marinade. The soaking time allows the tissues in the meat to soften. However, you want to ensure that you don’t leave it in for longer than 24 hours because you could find that the meat starts to get mushy.
Plan Activities
While gathering and catching up with loved ones is a great time, you still want to give your guests something to do while at your house. If you have a pool, then perhaps provide fun floats and diving games for them to play. Or, you could set up different stations to play board games or cards. Whatever you do, make sure that you have enough for everyone to have something to do if they want to.
Put the Drinks on Ice
If you’ve ever had a warm drink at a BBQ, you know that you don’t want to be remembered as that kind of host. If you have the space, put the drinks in the fridge the night before, and then move them to an ice chest the day of the party. If you don’t have fridge space, make sure that you put the drinks in the cooler with some ice with plenty of time for them to get cold enough.
Some people don’t drink soda, so remember to have bottles of water available for them. It’s also a good idea to have some drinks without caffeine if people are negatively affected by it.
